Ady Gaye's Two Goal Effort Leads The Way As Men's Soccer Rolls Past Kingsborough C.C. 5-1, On The Road

Brooklyn, New York –  The BMCC men's soccer team made the 30-minute trip to Kingsborough Athletics Field on a soggy Saturday afternoon, looking to get back to .500 in CUNYAC play. The Panthers came out firing from the opening kickoff, netting two goals in the first half and added another three in the second half cruising to a 5-1 victory over Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York. The victory improves BMCC's record to 3-4-0 (2-2-0 CUNYAC) while the Wave falls to 2-4-2 (2-2-0 CUNYAC).

Freshman Alassane Koroma (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) opened the scoring for the Panthers on an excellent feed by Carlos Auquilla (New York, New York). Sophomore Elhadji Ady Gaye (Dakar, Senegal) added another tally from Ibrahim Hussein to make it 2-0, and BMCC took that lead into the halftime break.

After a Wave own goal to start the second half, Ady Gaye added his second of the match to make it 4-0. KCC cut it to a three-goal deficit on a Penalty Kick goal by Emmanuel Ibeanusi before Ademola Opesanwo (Bronx, New York) buried his team-leading sixth tally from Ady Gaye and Jimmy Vargas to preserve the 5-1 Panther victory.

Freshman Abdul Mumin Seidu (Bronx, New York) picked up his third win of the season and made four stops.

The Panthers return home for a Region 15 matchup on Tuesday, October 4, against Dutchess Community College at 12:30 p.m. at Pier 40. For more information, visit the BMCC Men's Soccer Schedule
