New York, New York – During the first week of the 2021 NJCAA Spring playoffs, the top-seeded Panther's Call of Duty Cold War continued to be a cut above the competition sweeping another victim, eighth-seeded Carl Albert State College in consecutive games for the ninth time this season. Rocket League and Ivan Minaya and Caleb Miller of the individual Smash Brothers may have come up short in their first-round matchups, but all three competed valiantly in each one.

The Panther's Call of Duty Cold War team Christian Vasquez (Brooklyn, NY)Jarrett Thomas (Brooklyn, NY), Jose Brazoban (Bronx, NY), Justin Jacobs (Queens, NY), Pablo Romero (Queens, NY), and Raheem Redway (Yonkers, NY) showed that they were clearly worthy of a #1 seed and could still dominate the competition without captain Aisha Ellis (Queens, NY) dispatching #8 Seed Carl Albert State College, 3-0 in the quarterfinals. The Panther's Cold War team will square off in the semifinals against fourth-seeded Irvine Valley College on April 29th at 6 p.m., while Warzone will make up last Wednesday's first-round matchup against Northeastern Technical College Team 2 on April 28th at 7 p.m.

Rocket League's Dakarie Downie (Brooklyn, NY), Kevin Martinez (Brooklyn, NY), and Jonathan Colvin (New York, NY) season concluded with a 4-0 loss to Hudson Valley C.C. while Super Smash Brother's Ivan Minaya (New York, NY) fell 4-2 against Hinds Community College, and NBA2K21's Caleb Miller (Brooklyn, NY) was swept 3-0 versus Carl Albert State College.
