New York, New York –  As the 2021 Spring Esports regular season came to a close, the Panther's Call of Duty team did not flinch, dominating in a #1 versus #2 matchup to complete a perfect regular season and their Warzone and Rocket League punched their tickets to the postseason.

Rocket League's Dakarie Downie (Brooklyn, NY), Kevin Martinez (Brooklyn, NY), and Jonathan Colvin (New York, NY) primetime matchup has given them a jolt to close the season as they dominated Alexandria Technical and Community College by the count of 4-0 to pencil themselves in for a playoff spot.

The Panthers got off to a hot start as Martinez "UndeadPhenox" and Downie"Silent Abyss" netted back-to-back goals at 3:56 and 3:17, jumping out a 2-0 advantage. After ATTC got the deficit down to one, 2-1 with 1:24 remaining, Martinez buried his second goal for insurance to extend the lead to 3-1 and hold off a late goal to help BMCC take Game 1 by the score of 3-2.

Downie's scoring prowess was unstoppable throughout Game 2. After ATCC struck first, he fired a rocket into the back of the net at surrendering the first goal of the match to at the 4:04 mark to tie it, and then after ATCC retook the lead 2-1, he scored the last five goals over a 46 second to tie the game at two at 2:53 and put BMCC in front 3-2 at 2:44. He added two more at the 2:29 and 2:04 mark helping the Panthers take a 2-0 series lead.

Colvin "SenorMiss" opened the scoring 10 seconds in scoring off a ricochet off the wall to get the Panthers out in front 1-0 before ATCC tied it up at 1 with 4:13 remaining. Both teams exchanged the following four goals, with Martinez scoring off a scramble at the front of the net at the 2:57 mark to give BMCC back the lead 2-1. Then after ATCC tied it at 2:28, Martinez scored off a rebound at 2:13. ATCC tied it for a third time at 1:04 as the clock rolled down to zero before Downie got possession of the ball at Midfield and glided toward the net to get the winner as the clock expired, giving BMCC the 4-3 victory to take a 3-0 series lead.

It was all Panthers in Game 4 as they erased an early 1-0 lead with four consecutive goals - three coming from Downie and the other from Martinez - to win 4-1 and sweep the series 4-0. Rocket League has gotten the 14th seed for the playoffs and will suit up in the first round of the playoffs against Hudson Valley C.C. on Thursday, April 22 at 5 p.m.

Abel Perez (Bronx, NY) finished his regular season on a high note with a decisive 4-0 victory against Barton County Community College. Ivan Minaya (New York, NY) will suit against Iquez C., the 11th seed representing Hinds Community College in the first round of the NJCAA playoffs on Tuesday, April at 5 p.m.
