Brooklyn, New York | In a rematch of an exciting 2019 CUNYAC Championship just five days earlier, the third-seeded BMCC men's soccer team defeated sixth-seeded Queensborough, 1-0, Saturday afternoon at Kingsborough Athletics Field. In victory, the Panthers' record improves to 9-2-2, and they advance to the Regional Semifinals to face second-seeded Suffolk next weekend, while the Tigers finish 6-7.
After an offensive explosion last Tuesday, the first half was quiet, seeing both teams play to nil to nil result going into at halftime.Â

Rajay Officer (Portmore, Jamaica) finally broke through with the only goal of the afternoon for BMCC in the 67th minute. The tally was unassisted and the game-winner in the 1-0 decision.Â

Apelete Amehon (Kara, Togo (West Africa)Â earned his fourth shutout of the season with two saves in the game, while Queensborough sophomore keeper Brayan Manzano kept the Tigers in it making six saves in the losing effort.Â
