Sewell, NJ | On Monday night the men's basketball team travelled to southern New Jersey to take on the Rowan College of Gloucester County Roadrunners in a matchup between two undefeated teams. The teams would go back and forth throughout the game with neither side able to pull ahead, with the score tied on the final possession, Terrell Fullerton passed to Alex Humphreys in the corner and the sophomore guard shot a contested three pointer that found the bottom of the net as time expired to give the Panthers a 93-90 win.
Humphreys' buzzer beater put him at 18 points on the night and pushed BMCC to a 6th win in a row to open the season. The reigning CUNYAC Player of the Week, Fullerton filled up the stat sheet with 25 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds and Quran Dublin contributed heavily with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Viktor Kovacevic turned in his best performance of the season, the sophomore forward grabbed 9 boards and went 7 for 8 from the free throw line on his way to 15 points.
Following the win the Panthers will have less than 24 hours to prepare for their next game against ASA Manhattan. Tip off is set for 7 pm in BMCC Gymnasium.
