New York, NY | The women's volleyball team played their last home match of the season against the Kingsborough Wave on Tuesday night. Led by
Jennifer Chacon, the Lady Panthers swept the Wave in straight sets to come away with the win on 2
nd Year Player's Night.
In front of a boisterous home crowd, the lone sophomore on the BMCC roster was able to provide an offensive spark with 13 aces, including eight in the third set to seal the victory. Chacon also recorded a team-high 31 assists for the Lady Panthers. Freshmen
Ashley LaSalle and
Yolireisi Pichardo contributed with 9 saves and a solo block apiece.
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 9-6 on the season, and will turn their attention towards a key matchup against the Fashion Institute of Technology on Thursday night.
