BMCC responded to the pressure with one of their top offensive performances of the season to knock off the Lady Tigers by a final score of 61-50.
Down by 8 entering the 2nd quarter, the Lady Panthers would go on a 22-2 run capped off with a buzzer-beating 3 pointer by
Omicamy Ramos to end the half. BMCC stayed strong defensively in the second half to keep Queensborough out of striking distance. The Lady Panthers would maintain a comfortable lead until the final whistle blew.
Three Lady Panthers finished the game in double digits, with
Kiara Atkins and
Ashley Duplan scoring 17 and
Ashley Brooks recording 15 points. Duplan was on fire from behind the arc, matching her season high of 5 three-pointers. Brooks, the region's leading rebounder, improved her season average by grabbing 18 boards in the win, while helping out on the defensive end of the court with 3 blocks and 3 steals.
