Suffern, NY | It was a difficult night offensively for the Panthers on Sunday, the team shot 37.7% from the field including 20% from behind the arc as they fell to the Rockland Hawks in their final game of the season. Despite the poor shooting performance, BMCC's defense managed to keep them in the game, but in the end the Panthers would fall by a final score of 61-66.
In the loss, sophomore
Matthew Boyd recorded a season high 12 rebounds, and went 5-of-8 for 11 points for his first double-double of the season.
Brandon Williams would lead the team in scoring with 14, while
Jonathan Jones and
Kenneth Coar scored 10 points apiece.
The Panthers will look to bounce back from the loss when they take on the Bronx Broncos during the opening round of the CUNYAC tournament on Wednesday night. They are set to tipoff at 8pm in BMCC Gymnasium.
