New York, NY | The Lady Panthers were back in BMCC Gymnasium on Tuesday night to play the Queensborough Tigers in their final home game of 2016. BMCC made quick work of their CUNYAC foe, jumping out to a 36-7 halftime lead and extending it to 67-24 in the second half. The 43-point victory over QCC makes it 4 straight wins for the Lady Panthers, the team currently sits at second place in the region with a 5-1 record.

Ashley Brooks earned the game ball with her fourth double-double of the season as she shot 60% from the field on her way to 17 points while recording a game-high 12 rebounds, including 7 offensive boards. Brooks was a force on the glass, she was instrumental in helping the Lady Panthers outrebound the Tigers by a wide margin (52-21), and BMCC made the most of their offensive boards by racking up 15 second chance points.
Sophomore
Dashka Fonrose posted a career-best 15 points after going 6-of-10 from the field, while keeping the glass clean with 9 rebounds. Lady Panthers guard

Karina Ortega shot at an efficient 75% from the field to finish with 7 points.
Following yesterday's blowout win, the Lady Panthers will enter an important 4-game road trip that includes three CUNYAC opponents (Hostos, LaGuardia, Bronx), a sweep of these teams could earn the Lady Panthers national attention, with the first regular season NJCAA top-10 poll being released in early December. For now, BMCC will look to continue their win streak when they take on the Hostos Caimans in the Bronx on Tuesday.
