New York, NY | Coming off of a win at Rockland, the Lady Panthers were back in front of a home crowd on Thursday night for their matchup against the Dutchess Falcons. After a tightly contested first half, BMCC managed to pull away and beat their Region XV foes by a final score of 50-36.

The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 6 point lead early in the first quarter, but the Falcons offense broke through the defense in the second quarter and Dutchess would go into halftime trailing by just 1 point. It would be all BMCC in the second half, as they jumped out to an big lead in the third quarter and never looked back. A pair of Lady Panthers recorded a double-double in the win, Sophomore Ashley Brooks led the team with 10 points, 13 rebounds along with 5 blocks, while her teammate Natalija Dubrovina finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Tiannie Hightower went 7-for-14 from the field on her way to a team-high 14 points while creating problems for the Dutchess offense all game with 4 steals leading to fast break points.

BMCC women's basketball will be looking to make it three straight wins on this weekend when they travel to Long Island to take on the Nassau Lions. Saturday's doubleheader is set to tip off at 1pm.
