New York, NY | The men's team squared off against their conference rival on Tuesday night, in their earlier meeting, Kingsborough snuck away with a 66-69 victory over the Panthers. Just like the previous matchup, this game was tightly contested as both teams battled back and forth until the final whistle blew. After taking the lead with 10 seconds left, the Panthers defense stayed strong for the final possession, and BMCC came away with a 91-89 victory.
While the Wave were on fire from three point range the entire night, the Panthers offense showed they could run with them, as five BMCC players finished the game with 13+ points. For the third consecutive game,
Brandon Williams led the team in scoring, the sophomore guard finished with a season-high 27 points, including a game winning layup with 10 seconds to go. After being named a starter last week,
Jonathan Jones continues to impress, tonight the team captain contributed with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Neil Viera provided a spark off the bench, putting up 13 points in 18 minutes of play.
The Panthers will be on the road on Thursday before they return to BMCC on Saturday (weather permitting) for their final home game of the season. Tip off for Saturday's game against Dutchess is set for 2pm.
