BELLEROSE, NY| The Borough of Manhattan Community College baseball team (1-8, 1-3 CUNYAC) was defeated by CUNY Athletic Conference rival Queensborough Community College (5-7, 4-3 CUNYAC) 9-0 on Monday afternoon in the sides' fourth and final meeting of the 2015 regular season. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, March 27, but was cancelled due to weather.

Freshman Christopher Garcia was credited with his first loss of the season in his first start (third appearance) of the season. Despite the Panthers not generating any offense, Garcia kept his side within striking distance, limiting the Tigers to only three runs through the first six innings. But a six-run seventh inning ensured Queensborough victory.

Garcia threw three strikeouts, but Queensborough's Jun Young Lim notched eight and also threw a complete game to earn his first win of the season.

First baseman Dimitri Madera and Garcia were the only two Panthers to record hits in the game.

BMCC returns to action tomorrow, April 7, when they open a four-game series with Kingsborough Community College. The game is set to start at 12:00 PM at Kingsborough Athletic Field in Brooklyn, NY.
