#4 BMCC Men’s Basketball Completes Perfect CUNYAC Campaign with Win Over Queensborough

BAYSIDE, NY| The #4 Borough of Manhattan Community College men's basketball team (22-3) defeated Queensborough Community College 76-74 on Tuesday evening in Bayside, NY to complete a perfect 10-0 regular-season conference campaign and earn the #1 seed in the CUNYAC Community College Basketball Tournament set to take place next week.

Captain Joseph Ojo scored a team-high 17 points (9-14 free throws) and dished out five assists in the victory. Kenneth Coar recorded his 11th double-double of the season, going for 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Center Akeem Williams scored 11 points and grabbed a career-best 23 rebounds. Guard Elijah Bryant shot 83% and scored 15 points.

The Panthers held a marginal edge in overall shooting (38.7%-38.2%) but turned the ball over 27 times compared to Queensborough's 15.

BMCC, the fourth-best rebounding team in the nation, outrebounded the Tigers 57-43.

The Panthers return to action on Thursday, February 12 when they travel to Stone Ridge, NY to face Ulster County Community College in their regular-season finale at 7:00 PM.

BMCC will face Hostos Community College in the CUNYAC CC Semifinal on Wednesday, February 18 at 6:00 PM inside BMCC Gym. The final will be played on Friday, February 20 at 8:30 PM, also inside BMCC Gym.
