New York, NY  | The Lady Panthers dropped their second game in a row to the #1 team in CUNYAC by a late-game comeback. Down by 4 points with 20 seconds remaining, the LaGuardia Red Hawks went on a 7-1 run, including a buzzer-beating layup to sneak out of BMCC Gymnasium with a win.

In the heartbreaking loss, point guard Kiara Atkins put up 17 points, with 7 assists and 6 rebounds, while Ashley Brooks earned another double-double with 13 points and 10 boards. Ashley Duplan was recorded 12 points while going perfect from the free throw line. The fourth Lady Panther to reach double digits, Malaysia Morton reached a season-high 11 points in the losing effort.

BMCC Women's Basketball will be back at home on Saturday to take on the Bronx Broncos. Tip-off is set for 12 Noon.
