New York, NY Â |Â BMCC Women's Basketball suffered their first lost to a CUNYAC opponent after the Hostos Caimans high powered offense put up 75 on the Panthers. While the game was close for the first three quarters, the Caimans pulled away in the 4
th to bring the Lady Panthers to an even 3-3 on the season.
In the losing effort,
Kiara Atkins continued to dominate on offense with a team-high 16 points, while adding on with 8 rebounds. Freshman
Ashley Brooks added on with yet another double-double, with 12 points and 16 boards.
Mia Lashley continues to improve as the season progresses, the guard recorded a season-high 9 points while grabbing 4 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists. Forward
Takisha Weekes provided strong minutes off the bench, the freshman exploded for 12 rebounds (7 offensive, 5 defensive), while putting up 4 points.
Following the tough loss, the Lady Panthers will continue their homestand next Tuesday against their CUNYAC rival the LaGuardia Red Hawks.
