BMCC swimmer Rafael Flores swam his way to a gold and silver medal at the 2013 Northeast District Swimming and Diving championships last weekend in Rochester NY.

Flores finished the season on a high note by capturing a silver medal at the CUNY Championships in the 200 Fly in a time of 2:08.47 and finished the same event at the regional championships with a time of 2:03.08 for the silver medal. The next day he continued his dominance winning gold in the 100 Fly.

With 10 schools and 146 swimmers in attendances, BMCC swimmers Rafael Flores, Joseph Torres and Giuseppe Angelis all were able to qualify for the evening finals, where only the top 6 fastest times can qualify for medals. Joseph and Giuseppe finished 4^th, 5^th and 6^th, respectively, in their individual events.
