Lady Panthers Defeat Union College In Overtime


    The Lady Panthers went on the road to versus the Union County Owls under the lights and came away with a 2-1 overtime victory on the pitch.  Defensive intensity was on display from both teams from the beginning of the match and scoring was at a premium.  The game remained scoreless until midway through the first half when Union County was able to jump out to a 1-0 lead off a defelction in the box.  The Panthers answered back late in the first half when Anamaria Amaya found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.  The two teams played tough throughout the entire second half and entered overtime with the score still deadlocked at 1.  The Lady Panthers played an aggressive attacking style in overtime which lead to an early game winning goal by Sandra Staniszewska; her second goal of the season.  

    Congratulations are in order for Coach Roy Charles as he records his 1st victory as the Head Coach of the BMCC Women's Soccer program.  The Lady Panthers will return to the pitch on Friday, September 21st, at 12:30pm, when they will play host to the Rockland Fighting Hawks in their first home game of the season at Pier 40.
