Mateo uncorked a career and game-high 17 kills during the Panther’s thrilling five-set victory over the weekend against Union C.C. and added a team-high three service aces in the contest. The Brooklyn, New York native added five kills and three service aces in BMCC’s Region 15 straight-set victory over Hostos Community College last Thursday. Mateo leads the Panthers with 43 kills and has registered nine or more kills in three of their five matches this season. Mateo also ranks second on the team with 15 service aces, including three or more service aces in four of her five matches this season. She has also helped the Panthers surpass last year’s total of three wins with their fourth victory over the weekend.
