Panthers Battle Colts to 1-1 Draw Under the Lights
NEW YORK, NY - The BMCC Panthers earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the Middlesex County Community College Colts under the lights in Milltown, NJ. BMCC struck first in the 12th minute when
Jaqueline Barrera (New York, New York) found the back of the net off an assist from
Katie Osorio (Bronx, New York), giving the Panthers an early 1-0 advantage. With the goal, Barrera continued her impressive start to the season, having now scored in every game.
The Colts eventually pulled level, but goalkeeper Mireya Contreras (Queens, New York) delivered a strong performance to preserve the draw. Contreras stopped eight of the nine shots she faced, helping the Panthers secure the tie on the road.
With the draw, the Panthers are now 1-1-1 overall, 1-0 in conference
