Panthers Strong Showing At MSMC Invitational

NEW YORK, NY - Panthers opened the 2025 season with an impressive effort at the Mount Saint Mary's College Cross Country Invitational.  Looking to build off this past season, the Panthers have come into the season with high expectations; with the ultimate goal of competing for the Region XV Cross Country Championship.  Pacing the Panthers was sophomore standout William Fernandez (New York, New York) who finished with an impressive time of 30:10.9, which was good for 10th overall and 1st among NJCAA runners.  Joining Fernandez in the top-20 was freshman Thomas Black IV (Queens, New York) who recorded a time of 33:13.1; good for 20th overall.  As a team, the Men finished 4th overall and 1st among NJCAA schools.

On the women's side, the Panthers were led by freshman Keira Mireau (Queens, New York) who completed her first collegiate race with a time of 28:18.2 and finish just outside the top-25, placing 26th overall.  Joining Mireau in the top-30 was sophomore Chantel Shuler (New York, New York), with a time of 29:38.8.   

The Panthers are back in action on Sunday, September 28th, when they will compete in the Queensborough CC Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY.
