(New York, NY) - The Panthers picked up a key victory on Wednesday night over Region XV foe Kingsborough Community College. Strong play and solid defense led the Panthers in route to their 1st Region win of the season and 3rd overall.
Leading the offensive charge once again for the Panthers was Jeriel Peguero (Dominican Republic). The freshman had a game-high 14 kills. Overall, the Panthers had 3 players reach double-digit kills. Joining Peguero, were freshmen
Mansur Lechiev (Republic of Dagestan) &
Chance Longmore (Queens, New York), with each finishing with 13 kills and 10 kills, respectively.
Miguel Trejo, continued his impressive play during his Sophomore campaign, finishing with a game-high 47 assists in match. Additionally,
Bradley Campos (Queens, New York) finished with a game-high 18 digs.
With the 3-1 win, the Panthers improve to 3-5 overall, 1-4 in region play.
