NEW YORK, NY - Panthers start the 2025-26 season with a 68-67 victory over region 15 foe Sullivan County Community College. BMCC lead the Generals for all of 12 seconds in the season opener. Holding leads as high 12 points for a majority of the game, the Panthers were tested by the Generals down the stretch who took their only lead, 63-62 with 2:02 remaining in the game. Noah Smith (Brooklyn, New York), broke the Generals full-court press, taking the ball coast to coast, to put the Panthers right back on top 64-63 at 1:50 remaining in the game. Knocking down clutch free throws down the stretch, secured the Panthers 1st victory of the season.
