Suffern, New York - The BMCC men's soccer team had four different players find the back of the net during a dominant 4-0 road victory over Rockland Community College in Region 15 action on Saturday afternoon. The Panther's second straight victory improves their record to 4-2 (4-2 Region XV), while Rockland Community College drops to 1-2-1 (2-2-1 Region XV) with the loss.
The Panthers wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as sophomore Nikola Ivkovic (Belgrade, Serbia) buried his first marker of the year in the sixth minute from Clovens Loussaint (Brooklyn, New York) to make it 1-0. Freshman Sebastien George (Brooklyn, New York) extended the Panther's advantage to two goals, finding the back of the net for the second straight match in the 45th minute from Waseem Mohamed (Bronx, New York) to make it 2-0 going into halftime.
BMCC kept their pedal to the medal in the second half, with Sekou Kromah (Bronx, New York) registering his first goal of the season in the 55th minute on a Loussaint feed to make it 3-0 then Cameron Epenit (Stamford, Connecticut) rounded out the goalscoring with his first career marker in the 87th minute on a pass from Idrissa Sanogo (Cote D'Ivoire, Ivory Coast) to make it 4-0 which stood all the way to final whistle giving the Panthers the win.
Freshman goalkeeper El Momar Coundoul (Bronx, New York) picked up his first career shutout and fourth victory on the season.
The Panthers will face their stiffest tests on the 2024 schedule in the next two matches, beginning this Tuesday, September 24, against NJCAA Division III No. 3 nationally ranked Nassau Community College on the road in Region 15 action at 6 p.m. For more information, visit the BMCC Men's Soccer Schedule.
