New York, New York – Five different players found the back of the net as the BMCC Men's soccer team cruised to their second straight victory against LaGuardia Community College, 6-0, on the road Thursday afternoon at Pier 40. The Panthers improve to 2-1 (2-1 Region XV) while the RedHawks drop to 0-4 (0-4 Region XV).
BMCC got to work quickly on offense as sophomore
Assay Mouhamadou Ndiaye (Dakar, Senegal) buried a 20-foot rocket from outside the 18 in the fifth minute to give the Panthers the lead 1-0. Freshman
Clovens Loussaint (Brooklyn, New York) kept up his hot scoring touch in the 10th minute, dribbling down the right wing and uncorking it into the low left pocket of the net to extend the BMCC advantage to 2-0. The Panthers added one more marker in the 43rd minute as
Loussaint sent a beautiful ball on a corner that found the head of classmate
Haddon Forbes (Clarendon, Jamaica) to make it 3-0 as both teams went into the halfway point.
Loussaint made it back-to-back multi-goal games in the 46th minute for his second of the match, bending a corner off the goalkeeper and into the back of the cage to make it 4-0 BMCC. Freshmen
Waseem Mohamed (Bronx, New York) and
Salim Anas (Bronx, New York) rounded out the scoring two minutes apart with markers in the 55th and 57th minute to give the Panthers a 6-0 victory.
