New York, New York – The BMCC women's volleyball was swept in both Region 15 double dual matches at home Saturday afternoon in straight sets by NJCAA Division III nationally ranked Monroe-Bronx and Nassau Community College on Saturday afternoon at BMCC Gymnasium. The Panthers fall to 3-11 (3-8 Region XV) on the season.
Sophomore Cheyenne Gray-Taitt (Harlem, New York) led the Panther's offense in the first match, recording a team-high seven kills, while freshman Sarah Sellami (Queens, New York) placed a team-best three service aces and registered six kills. Classmate Silvia Chen (New York, New York) led the Panthers defensively with a team-best eight digs and dished out a team-high seven assists.
Sophomore Cheyenne Gray-Taitt (Harlem, New York) spearheaded the Panther's offensive attack in the second match with five kills. Classmate Garyana Altidor (Queens, New York) dished out a team-best three assists and joined Gray-Taitt with one service ace apiece.
Freshman Sarah Sellami (Queens, New York) led the defense with six digs.
The Panthers return to action tomorrow afternoon for their final double dual of the season against NJCAA Division III No. 4 nationally ranked Dutchess Community College and Orange County Community College at noon and 1:15 p.m. in Middletown, New York.
