New York, NY---The Borough of Manhattan Community College Lady Panthers dropped their season opener against the Nassau Community College Lions, 76-30.
"Overall, we have a lot to work on," said Head Women's Basketball Coach,
Eric Almonte. "We have to come out stronger, more together, and be able to sustain it all game long."
The Lady Panthers were lead by
Andecia Liverpool, who had eight points and grabbed 11Â rebounds.
Jan Jilliene Alday had six points and grabbed five rebounds.
"This is a brand new group and there's a lot of season left to keep pushing and compete," said Coach Almonte. "Nassau is always a tough team, and we can use this game as motivation."
The Lady Panthers are now 0-1. They continue their season at home against Region XV opponent, Monroe Express, on Thursday, November 18th.
