Sophomore Autum Adams-Edwards (Brooklyn, New York) and Freshman Shyasia Preston (Far Rockaway, New York) both led the scoring with a team-high eight points apiece. Preston, classmate Andecia Liverpool (Georgetown, Guyana), and Sophomore Lauren Malcolm (Bronx, New York) all brought down five rebounds, respectively, tying a team-best. Malcolm also tied a season-best with five steals, while Liverpool swatted away a game-high three blocks. Fellow underclassmen Quiana Baez (Queens, New York) dished out a team-high four assists, tying a season-high.

After a Baez three-pointer tied the game at the 8:54 mark of the first quarter, Hostos finished strong on a 16-6 run to lead 19-9 after one. The Caimans took control of the game for good in the second quarter, holding the Panthers to five points and 1-for-9 shooting to give them a comfortable 41-14 advantage at halftime.

Hosto's lead hit the 30-point mark at the 8:11 mark of the third quarter and kept it that way after three with a 56-23 lead. The Caimans went up by as many as 44 in the closing stages of the final quarter en route to a decisive 79-35 victory.

Hostos Community College had four players in double-figures, with sophomore shooting guard Moreina Moore leading the pack with 19 points on 8-for-16 shooting.
