New York, NY | Following their first loss of the season, the BMCC Panthers were eager to get back on the court for Thursday night's matchup against the SUNY Orange Colts. The Colts defense could not contain Panthers' guard
Quran Dublin as he hit shot after shot on his way to setting a new career-high with 45 points to lead BMCC to a 107-92 victory.
Dublin finished the game shooting 56.0% from the field with 8 three pointers and added onto his already impressive performance with 7 assists, 6 rebounds and a block.
Viktor Kovacevic was an all-around matchup nightmare for the Colts, the 6'7 small forward tallied 10 points, 10 rebounds and a game-high 10 assists to record the first triple-double for a Panthers player this season. Sophomores
Ashan Adams and
Alex Humphreys poured in 17 points apiece. A key to the Panthers victory was their ability to win the rebounding battle, BMCC outrebounded their opponents 60-38, with four players recording double-digit rebounding totals.
The men's basketball team will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Brooklyn to take on the Kingsborough Wave. The CUNYAC matchup is set to tipoff at 8 PM.
