New York, NY | Coming into Tuesday's match, the BMCC women's soccer team had been rolling offensively with 6 goals in the past two matches, and they would look to keep it going against the Monroe Express. Though goalkeeper
Florjeta Lubani kept the Lady Panthers in the match with a season-high 19 saves, the offense could not carry the momentum over from the previous matches, as they dropped the match by a final score of 2-0.
The Express offense overwhelmed the Lady Panthers defense throughout the match, they would finish with 21 shots on goal compared to the 6 shots on goal by BMCC. Despite the lopsided statistical column, the Lady Panthers were not out of the game until a goal from the Express in the 86
th minute sealed the win for Monroe.
The women's soccer team will have some time to prepare for their next opponent, they will be back in action on Thursday, October 11
th when they travel to Kingsborough to take on the Wave in a CUNYAC matchup. Kickoff is set for 4pm.
