Brooklyn, NY | Looking to snap a 6-match losing skid the Lady Panthers soccer team took the field against their CUNYAC rival, the Kingsborough Wave. After being held scoreless in the previous two matches, BMCC's offense erupted for 6 goals and the defense held strong, allowing the Lady Panthers to end the season on a high note.
Freshman striker
Victoria Koga found the back of the net twice in the first half and once more before the final whistle blew to record her second hat trick of the season. The Lady Panthers left wing
Stacy Guaman was always in the middle of the action, the freshman picked up three assists before scoring for herself on an assist from
Ericka Ovillo. In her final match for BMCC, Ovillo had a performance to remember with 2 goals to go along with her assist.
While the season did not result in a trip to the regional playoffs, the team and the fans have a lot to be optimistic about with 12 freshman players potentially returning next season.
