Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Dublin leads BMCC to 10th straight win

New York, NY | The men's basketball team faced off against the Kingsborough Wave on Tuesday night, with a win the Panthers would stretch their win streak to 10 consecutive games and clinch a CUNYAC tournament berth. Fueled by a 33 point performance from freshman Quran Dublin, BMCC came out on top in a 96-72 victory to remain undefeated in conference games this season.

The Panthers came out firing in the first half, going 11-for-20 from behind the arc to build a 28 point halftime lead. In the second half, BMCC controlled the tempo and found open shots to keep the lead intact until the final whistle blew.

Dublin connected on 10 of 13 first half shots for 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The 2x CUNYAC Player of the Week (4x Rookie of the Week) finished the game with 33 points despite playing only 26 minutes. After racking up 28 points last Saturday, shooting guard Devin Berrios continued his hot streak by recording 23 points against the Wave by going 7-for-13 from the field. Curtis Smith knocked down 4 three-pointers on his way to 14 points while leading the team with 7 assists. A pair of freshman Viktor Kovacevic and Mark Morgan kept the glass clean by recording 12 and 10 rebounds, respectively.

The Panthers face a tough stretch of the schedule with seven straight away games before returning home on February 6th to take on the Queensborough Tigers. They will be back in action on Thursday to when they travel to Suffern, NY to take on the Rockland Hawks.
