Lady Panthers Beat Lions to Extend Win Streak to 5 Games

New York, NY | On Tuesday night BMCC squared off against the Lions of Nassau County in a Region XV showdown. In their first matchup this season, the Lady Panthers knocked off the Lions in Nassau by 28 points and would be looking for a similar result in front of the home crowd. In the first half, BMCC built a 6 point lead by holding the Lions to 25% shooting from the field. They continued to pile on points in the second half, outscoring Nassau 20-11 in the third quarter and keeping the pressure on in the fourth to come away with their 12th win of the season.

Dubrovina went 12-of-24 from the field on her way to 29 points, while adding on 7 rebounds and 3 assists in her breakout performance for the Lady Panthers. Team captain Ashley Brooks filled up the stat sheet with 20 points, 22 rebounds and 4 blocks to earn her tenth double-double this season.
