| The Panthers travelled upstate on Wednesday to take on the SUNY Orange Colts in a Region XV matchup. It would be all BMCC from the opening whistle, with 6 different Panthers scoring a combined 9 goals in the blowout victory.
Marcus Folkes opened the scoring for the Panthers with a goal off of a pass from sophomore defender
Dazougou Pacode, Folkes would finish the game with three goals for the first hat trick of his collegiate career. Midfielder
Peter Ceesay drilled a ball into the back of the net to bring the score to 2-0, then Folkes picked up his second goal of the day off of an assist from
Aboubacar Keita. The Panthers would add two more on a pair of penalty kicks taken by Folkes and
Mujibu Adejumo to bring their lead to 5-0. Adejumo followed his successful penalty kick attempt with another goal on an assist from freshman
Christopher Toledo. Then a pass from
Adama Coulibaly would set up
Joseph Aguilar for his first goal of the season, Coulibaly followed up his assist with a goal of his own off of a cross from
Betsaleel Merise. The ninth and final goal for the Panthers came on a pass from
Guillermo Aguilar that set up
Jonathan Riviere in a perfect position in front of the net.
Following the dominant win over the Colts, the Panthers will have a few days of rest before they travel north to square off against Rockland Community College on Saturday.
