Bronx, NY  | BMCC women's basketball came up short at Hostos over the weekend. Trailing by one point with a minute remaining, the Lady Panthers battled hard on defense, but the Caimans would sneak away with a 54-49 victory.

Kiara Atkins went 7-13 from the field to lead the team in scoring with 18 points. Second chance points kept BMCC in the game, with Ashley Brooks and Malaysia Morton combining for 9 offensive rebounds. Brooks would finish the game with her third consecutive double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Panthers will be looking to rebound from the tough loss when they take on Bronx Community College on Tuesday. With a win against the Broncos, they will secure a spot in the CUNYAC playoffs. The game is set to tipoff at 6pm.
