New York, NY Â |Â The BMCC Women's Soccer team took the field at Pier 40 this afternoon for their home opener against the Monroe Mustangs. The Panthers could not find the back of the net as they fell 3-0.
After giving up three goals in the first 15 minutes, Freshman goalkeeper
Aliyah Ali rebounded with 9 saves to hold the Mustangs scoreless for the remainder of the game.
Despite the outcome, the offense continues to show improvement as the season progresses, recording a season-high 10 shots on goal.
The Lady Panthers will return to action this Saturday when they take on the Kingsborough Wave in Brooklyn. Kickoff is set for 12PM.
