BELLEROSE, NY|
The Borough of Manhattan Community College baseball team (0-3, 0-1 CUNYAC) were defeated 13-2 by CUNY Athletic Conference rival Queensborough Community College (2-1, 1-0 CUNYAC) on Tuesday afternoon at Padavan-Preller Complex in Bellerose, NY.

The first of a four-game series, set to continue on Friday, March 27 again at Preller, signified the start of the Panthers' 2015 conference campaign.

After falling behind 3-0 midway through the second inning, designated hitter Ramon Nunez advanced home after a poor attempt by the catcher to pick the Bronx, NY native off to put the Panthers on the board.

After holding the Tigers to no runs in the third, Queensborough walked in shortstop Mario Padron to bring the game to within one run (3-2). But Queensborough knocked in seven runs in the fourth inning and three more in the fifth before cruising to victory.

Catcher Wilson Aristy went 1-2 for with a single, a walk and a strike out with his three plate appearances. Right fielder Christopher Garcia singled in the first and went 1-3 on the afternoon.
First baseman Dimitri Madera was credited with Panthers' only RBI despite going 0-1 with one walk.

Starting pitcher Kenny Berihuete picked up the loss and is now 0-2 on the season.
