Baseball Loses Season-Opening Doubleheader to TC3

The Borough of Manhattan Community College baseball team surrendered both games of its season-opening doubleheader against Tompkins Cortland Community College on Thursday afternoon at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, NY. TC3 dimisses BMCC 22-5 in the first contests and 14-2 in the second.

Catcher Wilson Aristy went 2-3 in the first game, recording an RBI double in the first inning and a solo homerun with his third at bat. The sophomore went 1-2 in the second game courtesy of a RBI single in the first.

Third baseman Mario Padron singled twice in game two and knocked in one run. Second baseman Reginald German also went 1-2.

Kenny Berihuete took the loss in game one, while Divine Hawkins was handed his first loss in game two.

The Panthers begin their CUNYAC campaign on Tuesday, March 24 when they host Queensborough Community College for a single game set to begin at 4:00 PM. The second game of the series will be played on Friday, March 27 at 4:00 PM with the double-header finale set for 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 28. All four games will be played at Padavan-Preller Complex in Bellerose, NY.
