BAYSIDE, NY| The Borough of Manhattan Community College women's volleyball team lost to Queensborough Community College 3-0 Monday afternoon in semifinal the City University of New York Community College Women's Basketball Tournament. BMCC finishes the season with a 4-17 record. Queensborough, who beat the Lady Panthers 3-0 on Saturday in BMCC's final regular season game of 2014, jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. After winning the first set 25-16 the Tigers went on to claim sets two and three 25-15 and 25-8, respectively.
Captain Tania Mejia led BMCC with three kills on 12 total attacks in her final game as a Panther. The Bronx, NY native also added eight digs.
Johanna Castro had a team-high 28 digs, while setter Kaina Bazard racked up eight assists. Jennifer Santos had two kills and 15 digs.
