New York N.Y. – The BMCC Panthers lost 79-64 to CUNY rival Hostos Community College Tuesday night at the BMCC Gymnasium.
The Caimans (8-2) were led by sophomore Tyree White, who scored a game-high 24 points while also grabbing 18 rebounds.
The Panthers (3-6) got contributions from freshman guards
Tim Pandolfi and
Joseph Ojo. Ojo scored a team-high 19 points with four assists and four steals and Pandolfi chipped in with 16 points and four assists.
The Panthers trailed 37-22 at halftime but fought their way back in the 2
nd half getting to within six points at 64-58 with just over six minutes remaining. The Caimans proved to be too much in the end outscoring the Panthers 15-6 over the final five minutes of the game.
The Panthers return to action Sunday December 8
th when they travel to Poughkeepsie to take on Region XV foe, Dutchess Community College. Game time is 3:00 pm.
