Lady Panthers Lose Two in Double Duel




The Lady Panthers played host to Rockland CC, FIT and Kingsborough CC in the gymnasium at BMCC.  On the court, the Lady Panthers suffered two tough losses to Rockland CC and FIT.  In the first match BMCC played Rockland on center court dropping the first two sets (25-23).  The Lady Panthers fought back in the third set beating Rockland by a score of (25-22).  The Fighting Hawks of Rockland prevailed in the fourth set by a score of (25-18) and secured the 3-1 overall victory (25-23)(25-23)(22-25)(25-18).

FIT moved over to center court following a 3-1 victory over Kingsborough CC to take on the Panthers.  The Lady Panthers matched FIT stride for stride in the first match until the Tigers of FIT were able mount a late attack and finish off the first set by a score of 25-19.  FIT maintained there strong play throughout and were able to defeat the Panthers in straight sets by a score of (25-19)(25-10)(25-13).

With the loss the Panthers now drop to (1-4 overall, 1-1 in CUNY Conference).  The Lady Panthers next match is on Thursday, September 27th at 7pm when they play host to their CUNY Conference rival Hostos Community College.
