Lady Panthers fall to Nassau



The Lady Panthers (1-3 overall, 0-3 in region) fell to the Lions of Nassau Community College on a rainy night at Pier 40 by the score of 5-1.  The Lions got the scoring going early on a 3rd minute breakaway goal by Casey Naab.  Nassau, which outshot the Panthers 11 - 3 in the first half, added two more goals prior to the intermission with first half goals by Ariel Levy and Delsey Attardi and took a 3-0 lead in the half.  The Panthers who looked to push the tempo throughout the 2nd half, doubling their shots on goal to 6 from the 3 they had in the 1st half, were able to get on the board in the 55th minute when Sandra Staniszewski found Giselle Diaz cutting into the box off of a corner kick and Giselle redirected the ball into the net for the Panthers first goal of the game and her 1st goal of the season.  The Panthers remained aggressive but were unable to get any closer as Nassau was able to add two more goals and finish the game with a 5-1 victory.

The Panthers next game will be this Friday, October 5th, at 1 pm at Pier 40 vs. the Tigers of FIT.
