Starting at third base since the start of the season Ariel Torres is named CUNYAC/Applebee’s Men’s Athlete of the Week. Over the first six games of the season, Ariel Torres had 8 RBI’s and batted .381 coming into the weekend. For the week, Torres went on to bat an impressive .445 with another eight runs batted in. This included a 4-for-4 effort against Globe Institute in which he drove in 7 runs in route to BMCC’s 11-9 victory. The freshman is now batting .406 with 16 RBI’s on the season, which makes him 24^th in RBI in NJCAA Division III baseball.
